1. Booking & Payment

All rates are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST.

Payment is due in full upon check-in unless otherwise arranged.

We accept cash, EFTPOS, Visa, and Mastercard.

2. Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in: from 2:00 pm
-
Check-out: by 10:00 am
-
Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may incur an additional fee.

3. Cancellation & No-Show Policy
-
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before arrival incur no charge.
-
Cancellations made within 48 hours of arrival will be charged the first night’s stay.
-
No-shows will be charged for the full booking amount.

4. Guest Responsibilities

All guests must register at reception and provide names for all staying guests for safety purposes.

The hotel is non-smoking indoors. Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas. A $250 cleaning fee applies for smoking inside rooms.

Guests are responsible for any damage or excessive cleaning required. Charges will be applied to the booking credit card or requested in cash.

5. Children & Extra Guests
Children are welcome in designated rooms only and must be supervised at all times.
For booking purposes:

Infants (0–2 years) – Stay free if sharing existing bedding or in a cot.

Children (3–12 years) – May be charged a reduced rate.

Adults/Teens (13+ years) – Charged at the full adult rate.
​​The maximum number of guests per room must not be exceeded under any circumstances.

6. Behaviour

We reserve the right to refuse service or evict any guest causing a disturbance, behaving unlawfully, or breaching these terms.

No parties or unregistered visitors are allowed in guest rooms.

7. Liability

The Old Railway Hotel Lumsden is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property.

Guests are advised to secure valuables and travel insurance is recommended.
